{ best news all week, all YEAR! }
had a good weekend, attended a massive craft fair called 'upmarket' where most things were handmade; from jewellery to home decor items to decorative cupcake soaps, and thinking 'i can make that too' and wondering if i should sign up as a retailer for the next one, as a way of expanding and advertising my business. came home with some very beautiful items; a peacock hairclip and a business card holder, and heaps of business cards.
monday came around and it was time to finalise the programme book design. it was nice to see my name in 'special acknowledgments', i made sure i had it in BOLD! and so, two full working days later (plus overtime), it was time to deliver; the design, and the invoice!
on the same note, emma called to set up an appointment to see some wedding invites. lots of preparation work, this is a first, how exciting!
anyway, back to the subject of the post, susan from stamp-it called to let me know they've had their first meeting and have chosen the designs for the general catalogue. a few of mine were selected, and out of curiosity, i asked how many there were. she said to hold on, she'd have to give it a count. so far so good. i was holding my breath, hoping for more than the measly 3 which got selected for the christmas catalogue. 9, 10, 11.. and she kept going, and finally stopped at 19! NINETEEN!! i wont be able to believe it until i see the actual stamps, manufactured and displayed in the store, all NINETEEN of them! i will shamelessly walk into the store with a camera in hand.

{ facebook advertising }
my very first advert!
yi li had suggested it, which got me curious and decided to create a facebook ad, to see just how effective it can be, since big brands like johnson&johnson also seem to be using this medium.
so if you're a female residing in Australia/Malaysia, aged between 18 and {no limit}, be on the lookout! ad runs from 9am 11.09.2010 to 10pm 19.09.2010.
